This is a unique effect that really stands apart from the rest of the crowd. I wanted something ambient to use on the ceiling or a wall during my mobile DJ gigs. For some reason I never cared for the star-field effects of most of the popular lasers out there. They just seem... cheap or something. That's why this laser caught my attention! The wispy cloud effect is something that most people haven't seen before in a dance light. Not to mention the aqua wash effect, this fixture offers some unique capabilities. The sound-active mode especially kicks serious ass. It looks like a wild colorful lightning storm and responds well to the music!

The quality of this fixture is VERY high. All metal design, and very positive feeling controls on the back. The bracket is a perfect design and does exactly what you want it to. They even give a key so you can "arm" the laser (not a necessary feature, but it sure feels cool when you turn it on).

However, there are a few downsides. First off it's kind of loud. You can hear the fan on it, and the prism sort of squeaks when it's rotating. With music playing, it's not a big deal, but worth a mention. Also, the LED wash is clearly sectioned into 3 different colors. There's a blue side, red side, and green side. The LED doesn't really offer "color mixing". If you only have the red and blue on, it doesn't create a purple, but rather a red splotch and blue splotch on the wall. Kind of disappointing, but not a deal breaker.

Also, if the room is even somewhat bright, the lasers won't show up very much. In a pitch black room this light is phenomenal! I could sit and watch it all night! However, when there is a lot of other ambient light, the effect is kind of ruined. The lasers just aren't bright enough to really POP! It still looks good, but not amazing.

Even though I still love this fixture, I just find it difficult to find a perfect application for it. If you want the coolest bedroom lighting effect, here's your answer! Just be sure you know how you want to use it. Looks like Blizzard discontinued this fixture anyway, so maybe others found a difficult time finding an appropriate application for it.
