The Chauvet Slimpack 56 is a great deal for DJs and bands as well. All that is needed after purchasing this pack is a lighting stand. It comes with 4 par cans, a lighting controller, a bag, and all the cables to make it work. The lighting controller is as basic as it can be. Although that is the case, it enables more versatility than the standard programs built into the lights offer. Also, this controller enables you to change what the fixtures do at a moment's notice from the table top instead of having to program each individual light. I ordered the Obey 10 controller, but the Obey 3 is a great option for basic DMX control.
This is a great package deal that can't be beat.<br /> Lights, although plastic, are very well built and very sturdy. They have a good beam throw that makes them great for uplighting or put them on a truss for lighting up the dance floor. <br /> <br /> The OBEY 3 controller is simple to use and can access all of the functions of the lights. One thing that is very nice about the this light is it will keep the color you program into it using the OBEY 3 as long as it has power to it. In other words you can plug in the light, hook up the controller, set your color, unplug the DMX cable and move on to the next light. GREAT for UPLIGHTING.<br /> <br /> The case is very well built and a nice addition to finish off the package and stores everything, just pack and go.

I bought a 4 pack of SlimPars not too long ago and love them. They are compact and can used in multiple different settings. The best bang for your buck I think.

I use 8 of these 56s and just ordered 2 of the 64s. I use the 56's as a back light and will line them across the back truss. They look great in haze and backlighting adds a whole new dimension to any gig. I would not use these as a FOH wash for anything unless its a very small gig. But for uplighting, backlighting, or architectural lighting these work great.
Such a legit pack to get, especially if your a mobile DJ, who occasionally does weddings or weddings regularly. added 5-10min set up and tear down but, it is worth the extra time to look and feel next level! be sure to add these to your show today!!! you will not be disappointed!. these are a must have for any Tech guru, there are so many things one can do with these lights so grab them up for your self today!!!! The uplights are very well made and don't get overly hot like traditional bulbs. Setup was a little tricky initially with the Obey 3, but after programming them for the first time, it was all good. You can set the color on the light, then unplug the SlimPar's DMX cable so you only have the power cord plugged in -- the light color stays on all night without needing to be plugged into the Obey 3 (great for mobile setup!)
I just purchased 2 of these from KPODJ last night and must say that the customer service is outstanding! I submitted a pricematch and they beat the price with a better offer. When, I contacted them and requested 2 Chauvet packages instead of one, they immediately replied with an invoice reflecting the cost of the pricematch. I'm extremely happy and can't wait until my new lights arrive!
Just got my order in today (ordered two sets of four lights), what a great deal. Lights are very easy to control with the Obey 3. If anyone is having trouble deciding between the 56 and 64, so did I, and I'm not disappointed in the slightest with the 56's — save the money! The only bummer is the power cords are only 5 or 6 feet, you can buy 25 footers on Amazon for about $13 or some extension cords. Can't wait for the full effect of these this weekend!
