The wiCICLE receiver works great in conjunction with the wiCICLE transmitters. Sure beats hooking up all those cables. Saves time setting up and breaking down. They work best with the Blizzard lighting products designed to support the wiCYCLE's power thus eliminating connecting the unit to an external power supply. Use them with the Blizzard Unplugged items and have a completely DMX controllable and portable package.
It does a "good" as a wireless receiver, HOWEVER they are not that durable! Which translates into you not having them available for your event and having to spend time and money shipping them in for service!<br /> <br /> I am sending them in for repair. I have even put the Puck lights up on chair, so the lights don't get banged around, but the receivers just seem to be on the fragile side and still get damaged.<br /> <br /> With that said, this is the system that I am using for now. I have to have MORE receivers than I have lights, just to make sure that as the receivers break, I won't have to wait for them to be repaired in order for me to use the light.<br /> <br /> Also, the repair with Blizzard is just OK. I have sent them to Blizzard Lighting and even though they have great customer service and their turn around is fast, if they come back not fixed, what's that point of all of that; and that has happened. Which is pretty much a bummer!!<br /> <br /> Up-lighting is the way to go at any event, but maybe we can get some lights that have the receivers built inside of the unit?<br /> <br /> IN THE END, if you have money to spend on EXTRA receivers, then I would recommend these.<br /> <br /> Thanks, www.Timo.DJ
I got the Wicicles to go with my Puck RGBA unplug & they are working A+ easy set up no problems, they do work better with blizzard lights. But the price is a little high per stick???
When they work, they're good. However they are VERY susceptible to power fluctuations. Here in the Northeast, where some historic venues have unstable power, the lights flicker from interference. One of my four units, in particular, 'freaks' out at the slightest touch.<br /> <br /> Switched to a competitors model, and the problems have completely disappeared. <br />
