Unlike it's matching receiver the JTS IN164R which is very lightweight, this mic is heavy and very solid feeling. A bit top heavy and there is quite of bit of handling noise - I put some tennis racquet tape on the handle to counter this. Over all It's an excellent mic. Love the display of red for mute, green is active. I bought this to use as my guest mic.
In my opinion this mic is the primary reason to get the JTSIN164R system. I have the JTS lavalier mic and bodypack that go with the JTSIN164R receiver and I would say that it's ok, but not a stand out product. The combination of this mic and the JTSIN164R are really where this system shines. Much longer range than my Shure BLX options and good vocal quality. The mic is built like a tank with a solid high quality feel to it, especially compared to my Shure mics which feel a bit too plastic for my tastes.
