I bought this microphone to use in a live setting. I use vocal effects, but in the past I've found that a lot of the drums and guitars and keys got mixed into the vocal effects as well. I opted for a hypercardioid mic so that the effects would only pic up sounds going directly into the mic. I've played one show with this mic so far and it was just what I needed! It worked great with just picking up my voice. Even got a compliment from the soundguy.
