SoundSwitch is a Digital Lighting Workstation that lets users create lighting displays that are played back in time with audio files when played back live in Serato DJ (or within Virtual DJ). It allows DJs and lighting designers the ability to sync lighting visuals with live audio seamlessly.
SoundSwitch Edit Mode is a powerful tool that allows you to create customized lighting effects and cues that are along side and in time with music files. It has been designed to be familiar to anyone with experience using audio editing programs such as Ableton Live. Combining this timeline editing with tools similar to those found in graphic design software like Photoshop, SoundSwitch provides a user experience that is both functional and familiar.
Performance mode in SoundSwitch is where all the creative effort comes to life. When playing audio files through Serato DJ (or within Virtual DJ) SoundSwitch works quietly in the background to sync the created lighting displays without a hitch. All the live control is in your hands and the lighting occurs as you intended without restriction.
SoundSwitch gives DJs the tools to create their own lighting displays and the connection to play these back without compromising the freestyle nature of their live performance. It puts live control in the DJs hands and enables them to play any song, in any order, while their lighting remains in sync.
SoundSwitch opens up new creative possibilities for lighting designers as well as it enables them to explore tighter integration with the artists/DJs they are working with. Don't waste your money on this,the software is not user friendly,there is no user manual all they have is a bunch of how to videos which are not very helpful at all
Though I did not purchase this product here (manufacturer direct), I love this product. It does take time to program individual songs but the outcome is way better than any sound to light or basic DMX scene. I suggest filling up your banks of auto programs first, and then start working on individual songs. Customer service from Soundswitch is also top notch, they are quick to reply and very open and engaging with questions and suggestions. This is the future of lighting and you won't be disappointed.
this is so far the best lighting software and device I ever seen. it takes little time to learn the program. but you'll be very happy with the result.
