With regard to professional sound, high-quality design elements and high-end technology, Ultrasone has cut no corners when making this product. Ultrasone’s patented S-Logic Plus technology and ULE shielding system are part of the basic configuration of this series.

The material combination of soft-touch lacquer and glossy accents gives the Performance earcups a casual elegance and is immediate proof of the precise workmanship. The Performance 840 impresses with agile bass and comes with a completely black earcup composition. With its gold-plated sound transducer, the Performance 860 offers impressive linearity and appears in a clear combination of black and iced-silver. The third member of the family, the Performance 880 with its titanium-coated sound transducer, captivates all the senses entirely with its tonal range and clarity of sound. The earcups on these headphones come in an elegant colour combination of black and gunmetal.

The comfort aspect was a priority when the spacious inner cups of the Performance series were being constructed. After all, professionals and music enthusiasts alike do not want to be irritated by the fit of the headphones, but want to forget that they are there altogether. The high-quality protein-leather ear pads contain memory-foam and will adjust themselves to fit your head shape snugly. This means they are comfortable and offer best possible insulation against external noise. A perfectly fitting, comfortable headband completes the excellent wear characteristics. During the development phase of the Performance series, the metal headband was designed to snugly fit each and every individual head shape.

All Performance models come with detachable cables. The bayonet connector means you can quickly change to the cable of your choice. The P840 and P860 come supplied with a straight, detachable 3m cable, 3.5mm jack and gold-plated 6.3mm screw-on adapter. The P880 includes as standard an additional 1.2m cable with microphone and remote control, gold-plated and angled 3.5mm jack for mobile use, and an additional velour and memory-foam ear-pad set. The short cable and the velour and memory-foam ear pads can be bought as an optional extra for the P840 and P860 at dealers or in the Ultrasone shop.
